MES students have been working hard on PLTW (Project Lead the Way) units. These three classrooms have learned about the human body and rescued tigers from danger.
Students in Ms. Hensley's class get a quick mini-lesson from Mrs. Ludwig, literacy coach. As part of the Indiana Literacy Cadre, MES is able to have a literacy coach to work with teachers and students.

I am thankful for my Monday morning announcement leaders.
MES PARENTS: A few moments ago we launched the invitations for Bloomz, our new behavior tracking and parent communication. This will replace Rooms and is similar to ClassDojo. You can go to this link for help getting started. https://bit.ly/MilanBloomz
Also, there is an app you can download to your smartphone. A quick reminder that we will no longer use Rooms for communication on 11.27.23.

MES PARENTS & FAMILIES:
This semester we rolled out the Rooms portion of the Milan app to increase communication with parents. Rooms was also supposed to help us in tracking behavior and reporting behavior to parents. In my professional opinion, Rooms was not a good fit for Milan Elementary School. In talking to staff and some guardians, I could see that there has been frustrations and changes need to be made.
Unfortunately, ClassDojo is not an option for us. Through some research we have found a program that has a ClassDojo feel to it, but also offers more to you the parents. It also offers more to us at the school.
I would like to introduce you to Bloomz. Bloomz has an app that you will want to download on your phone. It will also have a website that is more user-friendly.
PARENTS MAY HAVE RECEIVED AN INVITATION TO JOIN BLOOMZ ALREADY. INVITES WILL BE SENT THIS WEDNESDAY FOR ALL PARENTS AT MES.
MES WILL BE TRANSITIONING FROM ROOMS TO BLOOMZ ON NOVEMBER 27TH. WE WILL NO LONGER BE USING THE ROOMS PORTION OF THE MILAN APP AFTER NOVEMBER 27TH.
