On 9/11, MHS remembers Col. Buddy Boone, Class of 1966, who was lost in the Pentagon attack 23 years ago.
Milan HS hosted the Ripley County Career Expo today and it was a huge success. Over 700 students from five high schools were able to take advantage of this opportunity. Thanks to all the vendors and volunteers who made it possible.
Tough loss for the Indians last night but we appreciate our teachers and staff staying until the end to cheer on the Indians. Staff appreciation night was a success! Thanks for all you do for our students!
Congratulations to these students for receiving the College Board's National Recognition for their SAT scores from the 2023-2024 school year! These students are now eligible for scholarships through this recognition at partnering universities.
In just a few hours, these hallways will come alive with the excitement of a new school year. We can't wait to seeing everyone!
These six MHS students spent the school year at Margaret Mary Health for their work based learning experience. They rotated through different departments within MMH throughout the semester and yesterday they presented a summary of their internship which included hands-on experiences and insightful takeaways about themselves and the health field. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to their presentation and this is just one example of the opportunities we offer our students at MHS.
The Jazz band with stood the winds and had an excellent performance at the Holdsworth pavilion in Versailles yesterday evening. Great job Mrs. Bedel and students.
Milan High School teachers ended Teacher Appreciation Week with new staff shirts. We are grateful to have such a great team to work with!

The Milan HS Jazz Band performance scheduled for Versailles this evening has been postponed until Monday, May 13th at 6:30 pm at the Holdsworth Pavilion.
The HS Jazz Band will be performing at the Holdsworth Pavilion tomorrow, May 8th, at 6:30pm in Versailles. Come out and support this great group of musicians!
Prom 2024 is complete! The students had a blast and danced all night! Congrats to our prom royalty, Nate Voss and Alex Getz were prince and princess and Trenton Langferman and Ellie Knecht were king and queen.
Special thanks to our junior class sponsor, Mrs Bedel, for organizing the event and to all the staff and bus drivers for help making it happen!

The MHS band is performing at ISSMA contest tonight and are anxiously waiting to hear the results. Thanks to the huge crowd of parent supporters that traveled to Columbus to support our students as well as the Reservation for providing the pre-performance meal.

The MHS band visited the Grand Ole Opry today on band tour and they had a great host for their backstage tour...Our students had the treat of meeting up with Milan's own Jamie Johnson and hearing him perform while they were there!
