We have been informed that Hoxworth has suspended the mobile bus blood drive collections. Because the national need for blood supply is great, we are currently looking at other options to still host the blood drive at MHS on March 31st. We will post details as soon as they become available.
MHS will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, March 31st. Due to school being closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, the blood drive will now take place in a Hoxworth Blood Drive Bus that will be parked OUTSIDE of the Milan High School gym.
Hoxworth needs more donors than usual as they are in the midst of a national blood shortage brought on by the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus). They have assured us that there is no risk of contracting the virus by giving blood as it is a sterile process. Everything will be cleaned and they will make sure no one is put at any additional risk.
Milan High School is hosting a blood drive:
Tuesday, March 31st
10:00am-12:30pm & 2:00pm-4:00pm
Donor bus will be parked by the MHS Gym entrance
Schedule online at: www.hoxworth.org/groups/milan or contact Hoxworth by calling 513-451-0910.
Donors must be 16 or older.
Walk-ins will be accepted if space allows.
Two donor buses will also be collecting at Margaret Mary Hospital the same day from 8am - 5pm
Please spread the word about the blood drive to your family members and friends because the national blood bank could use all the help they can get.
