Homecoming Week Activities

Today in Mrs. Seals’ Chemistry class, students got hands on to calculate the density of regular and irregular objects. Students had to first find the mass of each object and then find the volume of each object using rulers or water displacement. They were then able to identify which objects were made of the same materials by matching their densities!

Spaghetti, tape, string, and a marshmallow on top! ✨ Mrs. Wilhelm’s Student Media Class tackled the Marshmallow Challenge in their Teamwork & Leadership Unit. 🏗️

Calling all Milan Band Alumni! We’d love for you to come and perform with the HS Band in the July 4th Parade at 10am. If you do not have an instrument, no worries, we can help find you one to play! Mrs. Bedel can email you the music in advance as well as a fingering chart! If you’ve forgotten how to march, please join us at a freshmen practice on July 2nd 12:30pm - 1:30pm or Full Band practice July 3rd 10am-12pm. We love to see lots of our alumni participating! Today was MHS’s annual Best Effort Day, and our students showed up in a big way! They gave back to the community by refreshing both the school campus and Milan Park. From spreading mulch and organizing storage areas to painting shelters, bleachers, and parking lot lines, their hard work made a visible difference. Way to go, Indians!

Mrs. Sciutto’s Biomed students took part in Stop the Bleed training yesterday—a vital, life-saving skill that can make a difference at home, at work, or anywhere emergencies happen.

The MHS Concert Band brought home two Gold Medals tonight at the ISSMA Concert Contest in Columbus! Competing in Group 2, they earned top honors in both concert performance and sight reading. Congratulations to these talented musicians!
