On Wednesday, MHS students from our Work-Based Learning and JAG programs attended the Emerge: Young Innovators Summit! 💡
It was an incredible day of learning and inspiration — students gained valuable career skills, explored business and entrepreneurship concepts, and networked with local professionals and peers. The event encouraged them to think creatively and confidently about their futures!

Ms. Small’s ICP students had a blast today—literally! 🚀 They designed and launched homemade stomp rockets while applying their physics calculations in action.

This week, Milan High School joined the nationwide Red Ribbon Week celebration—empowering students to make positive choices and live drug-free!


Milan High School FFA students have spent the past two days in Indianapolis attending the National FFA Convention—an incredible opportunity to learn, lead, and connect with fellow members from across the country! 🌾💙💛

Picture Re-Take Day for MHS is tomorrow Tuesday 10/28/25.
Today in Mrs. Sciuttos and Mrs. Seals’ classes, students simulated a fish population while doing calculations and graphing their data to show how the population changed over time. These calculations involved birth and death rates, immigration and emigration, and limiting factors such as drought, predation, and natural disasters.




Pictures were sent home with the high school students this afternoon 10/21/25. Career Center students, Ivy Tech students and Work Based Learning students will receive their pictures tomorrow morning 10/22/25. Picture retake day will be Tuesday 10/28/25 for any students that were absent for the initial picture day or would like to have pictures retaken.

Today Mrs. Sciutto’s and Mrs. Seals’ classes teamed up to simulate how the effects of resource availability, competition, natural disasters, and pollution affect different organisms in an ecosystem. Each student was assigned an organism and then was tasked with collecting and using resources through different scenarios.


Ripley Co. Ag Day is in full swing at the Fairgrounds! 🌾 Our HS agriculture students are sharing their knowledge on a variety of ag topics while guiding area 3rd graders through hands-on stations. It’s a great day of learning, leadership, and fun for students of all ages!



Mrs. Sciutto's Principles of Biomedical Science Students performed gel electrophoresis today on samples of DNA from the blood at their classroom crime scene to identify who left it.

The Thomas More University Band Direct- Mr Ken Carr came to MHS today to talk with our HS Band about getting ready for college and the great opportunities available at TMU

Ms. Sides’ Ag Power, Structure, & Technology students are working on their first project of the year: wiring a light to a single pole switch.
This basic circuit helps them learn proper wiring techniques and understand how electrical systems work in agricultural settings.
